Brothers and sisters in Christ,
Oh, how we need to stick with the Word of God! It is our source of life and strength! It gives us the nourishment we need, to live our lives for the glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! "The Word of God is living and and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword." (Heb.4:12) It is the Word of God that makes us complete, and thoroughly equipped for every good work. (2.Tim.3:16-17) Yet, how often the Word of God is neglected. I have a Bible that I found on a give-away table. In the front of the Bible, it says "Dear brother, this book will keep you from satan, or satan will keep you from this book!" The Bible had been given to someone during a "Revival." Well, that is what it says in the front. Yet, the Word of God says, "The Law of the LORD is perfect, converting (reviving) the soul!...The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart! The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes!...More to be desired are they than gold, yes, than much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them Your servant is warned, and in keeping them there is great reward." (Ps.19:7-11) Job, who went through times of great affliction, under the attack of the adversary, said, "My foot has held fast to His steps. I have kept His way and not turned aside. I have not departed from the commandment of His lips. I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food!" (Job 23:11-12) Even Jesus, the very Living Word of God! God in the flesh! The Word of Life, when tempted by the devil, said, "It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God!" (Matt.4:4) Oh, how we need the word of God! May we CRAVE the WORD and FEED on the WORD more and more! (2.Pet.2:2) This will cause us to grow for His glory!
It is the Word of God and the Spirit of God, that brings fruit! We covet your prayers that the Lord would move on hearts in this city. Pray that as hearts hear the Word of God, they would be cut to heart and say, "What must I do to be saved?" (Acts 2:37) The Lord is still desiring that none would perish, but that all would come to repentance. (2.Pet.3:9) "God our Savior...desires all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth!" (1.Tim.2:3-4) "Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, and giving of thanks be made for all...!" (1.Tim.2:1)
Keep Watching & Praying! (Jude 20-25) Keep redeeming the time and letting the Light shine! (Eph.5:14-16)
We praise the Lord for this past Sunday! We had new visitors at church from the outreach ministry. Praise the Lord! Pray that the Lord would truly bring forth fruits of the new birth. Pray for that the Lord Jesus would build His church in Hunts Point. Pray that the Word would continue to run in the streets and that it would bring forth fruits of repentance. (Luke 3:7-9) May the LORD save a people for His name's sake!
PRAY that we would stay out of the way and that JESUS alone would be glorified!! (1.Cor.1:18,29,31,+3:7)
Thank you for praying with us! May the Lord strengthen us all to Live for the glory of Christ Jesus who died in our place and rose again from the grave our souls to save! May the cry in our hearts grow stronger and stronger all the more as we see the day approaching! MARANATHA!! May the Lord be glorified!! Ps.40
We love you and thank the Lord for you!
Stand fast in Christ, till we see His face!
Brother Jeff
