"The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" (Ps.27:1) "Though the fig tree may not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the labor of the olive may fail, and the fields yield no food; though the flock may be cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls - YET I will REJOICE IN THE LORD! I will JOY in the God of my salvation! The LORD God is my strength!" (Hab.3:17-19) I love the prayer of Habakkuk in chapter 3, because it is a prayer on Shigionoth! (Hab.3:1) This Prayer was set to music, with stringed instruments. (Hab.3:19) Prayer mingled with praise! "Yet, I will Rejoice in the LORD! I will JOY in the God of my salvation!" (v.18) This is a prayer of rejoicing in the midst of barren desolation. This is truly standing, or kneeling on the promises of God! "For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea!" (Hab.2:14) Habakkuk cries out, "O LORD, I have heard Your speech and was afraid (filled with awe, reverence, or godly fear); O LORD, revive Your work in the midst of the years, make it known! In wrath remember mercy!"...The very next verse says, "God came!!...His glory covered the heavens, Selah ~ and the earth was full of His praise!!" (Hab.3:2-3) GLORY~\o/~HALLELUJAH!! Stand in AWE of the LORD!! Cry out to God in praise filled prayer for the glory of His name!!
PRAISE THE LORD for His works!! One of our prayers is always, LORD send laborers into your harvest. This past Saturday we saw the Lord answer this prayer in a special way. We saw the Lord draw out many laborers out of the seats and into the streets. When we were picking up some of the the brothers, the Lord had lead a sister who we met at a fellowship in New Jersey to the same McDonalds in the Bronx where we were picking them up. When she heard that we were going out to street ministry, she asked if she could join us. She came. What was amazing was that while we were ministering on the streets, she met a woman, who she had been praying for but had never met. Her friend who works in a Hospitol in the Bronx and had told her about a woman who was bound in drugs, and they had been praying for her salvation. This was the woman. What is awesome, is that the woman called on the Lord Jesus to save her from her sin on the street that day!! HALLELUJAH!! I stand amazed at how the Lord directs the steps! He gets all the glory! Jesus is still seeking to save the lost, and He is mighty to save!
Please continue to pray that the Lord would send laborers into the harvest fields! We must redeem the time! We must continue to preach the message of the cross for it is the power of God unto salvation to all who believe! (1.Cor.1:18, Rom.1:16) Pray that the Lord would give us strength and boldness. Pray that the Word of the Lord would run swiftly and be glorified!(2.Thess.3:1) Pray that God would stretch out His hand and save a people for the glory of His name!
Pray for the church as a whole to be set ablaze for the glory of our risen Lord Jesus! Pray that church would walk in holiness and the fear of the Lord! The Word of God declares: "Blessed is every one who fears the LORD, who walks in His way." (Ps.128:1) "Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD! Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, who seek Him with there whole heart!" (Ps.119:1-2)
We thank the Lord for you! Thank you for your prayers and support! You are a BLESSING to us from the Lord!! No Prayer ~ No Power! "May the LORD bless you and keep you! The LORD make His face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you! The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace!" (Num.6:24-26)
Keep Burning 4 Jesus!!!
Brother Jeff
